African American Day Parade is one of the largest and oldest parades of Black American culture highlighting the community’s heritage and unity, while commemorating the legacy of Black ancestors from within the African diaspora. As a chief organizer and head of marketing for the Parade, Elkerson brought together business leaders, government officials, local residents to uplift all who attended.
